CTL Workshop To Explore Uses of AI
January 5, 2025
An upcoming webinar will help the UT Dallas community explore practical applications of how to use artificial intelligence (AI), while gaining a better understanding of how AI can support your work.
UTD’s AI Era: Copilot, JSTOR and More will be held Thursday, Jan. 16 from 4 to 5 p.m. on Microsoft Teams. It provides an opportunity for faculty, staff, graduate students and postdoctoral researchers to learn more about some of the AI tools shaping the academic landscape at UTD.
Sponsored by the Center for Teaching and Learning, the interactive session will feature insights on Microsoft Pilot from Kishore Thakur, assistant vice president in the Office of Information Technology. Alex Rodriguez, senior research services librarian in the Eugene McDermott Library, will discuss the innovative tools included in JSTOR, a digital library of academic journals, books, and primary sources. Learn how these technologies can enhance teaching, research and productivity.
Register to attend by Jan. 15. Participating in the session may fulfill part of the requirements for the Graduate Teaching Certificate and Postdoctoral Teaching Certificate programs. CTL policy prohibits use of AI tools or bots for notetaking or recording during online sessions.
