DFW Labor Market Update

From November to December 2024, the Dallas-Fort Worth labor market gained 6,000 net jobs, even as total job postings saw a month-over-month decrease of 1.8%.

According to the UT Dallas Office of Facilities and Economic Development, the top posted jobs for our region were for registered nurses and software developers. Our local unemployment rate declined in December, from 4% to 3.5%.
