Economic Snapshot: GDP Contributions of DFW, Texas

The latest issue of The Connection (pdf), an economic development report from the UT Dallas Office of Facilities and Economic Development, highlights the contributions of Dallas-Fort Worth and Texas toward national gross domestic product (GDP).

According to the report, the key industries of Texas’ economy through imports and exports are agriculture, mining and durable/nondurable goods manufacturing. In 2023, these sectors had a combined GDP of $516 billion within the state’s $2.6 trillion economy, and DFW contributed $67 billion to that amount.
