Faculty Invited To Explore Short-term Working Group Program

April 1, 2025

The UTD Center for Teaching and Learning invites faculty members to learn more about its Short-term Working Group (SWG) program.

The SWG program is designed to provide UTD students an opportunity to work closely with a faculty member on a targeted project.

Faculty members who are interested in applying for the program can attend an interest session Thursday, April 10, from 3 to 4:15 p.m. at the CTL Workspace (MC 2.404).

Facilitated by Dr. Salena Brody, CTL associate director, interested faculty members can learn about the program, the proposal process, and how to develop a project that is mutually beneficial for both the faculty member and the student cohort.

SWG faculty span disciplines and develop goal-oriented, short-term projects for undergraduates. CTL provides mentorship training, administrative support, student recruitment effort, and a faculty community for communication, collaboration, and consultation. SWG faculty will be recognized at the annual CTL Celebration of Teaching Excellence and, separately, SWG faculty and students will be celebrated at a spring reception.

Make a reservation by filling out the Short Term Working Group Interest Form. Email the working group with any questions.
