Learn About Dangers of Fentanyl, Opioids at Narcan Training Event

March 5, 2025

The UTD Center for Students in Recovery (CSR) invites, staff, faculty and students to a Narcan training event on March 12, from 1 to 2 p.m.

Besides learning how to properly use Narcan, participants will learn about the dangers of fentanyl and other opioids from EndOverdose at UTD, a student organization.

Narcan is a brand of Naloxone, a medication used to reverse or reduce the effects of opioids. For example, it is used to restore breathing after an opioid overdose.

CSR provides a safe, supportive community to enhance students’ ability to thrive socially and academically while living in recovery. The program strives to empower students by offering student-led peer-support groups and individual counseling with a mental health professional.
