Business Officers Association Presents Rising Star Award to Toros

Orkun Toros, UT Dallas’ interim vice president for budget and finance, has been presented the 2025 Rising Star Award from the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO).
He was among six business and finance leaders to be honored by NACUBO recently for their outstanding contributions to higher education.
NACUBO is a nonprofit professional organization representing chief administrative and financial officers at more than 1,700 colleges and universities across the country.
Toros, who has served on the organization’s planning, budgeting, and analytics forum committee and has presented at NACUBO events, was recognized for his “high potential to succeed as an executive and business officer in higher education.”
Toros joined UT Dallas 12 years ago as a senior financial analyst in the Office of Budget and Finance and was named interim vice president and chief financial officer in early February.
